Amber Record Bookkeeping is based in Orting and works with small business owners throughout Pierce County — in person when it's useful, and fully remote when it's not.
Orting is home base — this is genuinely where Amber Record Bookkeeping is run from, not just a location listed for search purposes.
Sumner — where I'm an active member of Valley Business Builders, a local business networking group. If you're a Sumner business owner, there's a good chance we already cross paths.
Puyallup — the largest nearby community and home to many of the small businesses I work with, from contractors to service-based businesses.
Bonney Lake — another close Pierce County community, and a natural fit for the same in-person availability as Orting, Sumner, and Puyallup.
Graham — part of the same greater Pierce County service area, with the same responsiveness and availability as the rest of the region.
Tacoma — Pierce County's largest city, and home to a wide range of the small businesses and industries I work with.
Auburn — on the edge of Pierce County, and part of the same consistent service area and availability as the rest of the region.
Outside of these seven towns, remote bookkeeping support is available throughout the greater Puget Sound area and beyond — in-person availability is specifically tied to Pierce County, but the actual bookkeeping work (reconciliation, reporting, QuickBooks and Zoho Books support) works just as well for a client I never meet in person.
Bookkeeping today happens mostly online — bank feeds, cloud accounting software, digital document sharing. But being genuinely local to Pierce County still means something real:
Face-to-face meetings when you want one — a coffee, a sit-down to go over your books, or a quarterly check-in in person, without needing to coordinate travel
Familiarity with the local business community — networking through Sumner's Valley Business Builders and the local Chamber of Commerce means real, ongoing relationships with other Pierce County business owners, not just a service area listed on a map
Understanding the kinds of businesses that make up this area — construction, contracting, and service businesses are common throughout Pierce County, and that's genuinely where a lot of my own client base comes from
Do you work with businesses outside Pierce County? Yes — in-person meetings are specific to Pierce County, but the bookkeeping work itself is done the same way for remote clients anywhere. If you're outside the immediate area and would still like to work together, reach out and we can figure out what makes sense.
Do I need to meet in person to work with you? No. Most bookkeeping relationships, even local ones, run mostly through email and cloud software. In-person meetings are available for Pierce County clients who want them, not a requirement for anyone.
Which towns do you serve most? Orting, Sumner, Puyallup, Bonney Lake, Graham, Tacoma, and Auburn make up the core Pierce County service area, with Orting as home base and Sumner as an active networking hub through Valley Business Builders.
